Frontier Customer DNS Information

General Information

Please e-mail all DNS and domain related requests and questions to <hostmaster@frontiernet.net>. Frontier's DNS Support staff operating hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm ET. All DNS requests and functions will be responded to and/or processed within this time-frame and will be completed within two (2) business days of receipt. Please be as explicit and complete as possible in your email as to what services you are requesting so that we may serve you in the timeliest fashion.

Frontier as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) will NOT....

....register new domains for customers.

....make attempts to modify existing domain records with any domain registrar (http://www.icann.org/registrars/accredited-list.html).

....troubleshoot configuration or functionality problems in DNS servers outside of our direct control.

Domain registration and maintenance are the responsibility of the domain's Administrative or Technical/Zone contact. Registrations and modifications are accomplished through an ICANN accredited domain registrar. Frontier will provide guidance or direct you to an appropriate resource as needed.

Service Affecting Issues

All emergency/service affecting issues should be directed to the ISIS NOC [Internet Systems and Infrastructure Support Network Operations Center] by calling 1-866-474-7662. Please provide any relevant information in your trouble report [i.e. contact information, reason for call, affected service, when the problem started, etc.]
